Senate Committee Deputies Visit “Kazaeronavigatsia” to Review National Air Traffic Safety and Operations

On November 12, 2025, Deputies of the Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid a working visit to “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss key issues related to ensuring the safety of air and ground movement of aircraft on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the international activities of “Kazaeronavigatsia” of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the visit, the senators got acquainted with the operation activities of the Enterprise, the ATC center in the city of Astana, as well as the activities of the main center of air traffic flow management. Deputies of the Senate were shown how the specialists of the Enterprise ensure the air traffic safety, controlling aircraft on land and in the air, as well as Senators familiarized themselves with facilities and equipment ensuring safety.

Mr. Faat Bogdashkin, the Director General of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE noted that the Enterprise is a national provider of air navigation services, ensuring safe and high-quality air navigation services for air traffic over the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Today, the level of compliance of the air navigation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is 93.94%, which is 27% higher than the global average.

Following the visit, a detailed exchange of opinions took place, during which Senators and the top management of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE addressed some of issues facing the Enterprise.

Parliamentarians expressed their readiness to assist in the resolution of current issues, including legislative support and programme development, aimed at improving the level of safety and ensuring the attractiveness of the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan for foreign airlines.
